See what previous attendees have said about this course:
“This course was intelligent, challenging, moving and therapeutic in equal measures – a veritable feast for the senses. The conversations over lunch and dinner were as illuminating as Iain’s views. It was interesting to see how all participants took something different from the conversation according to how it helped their own experience”
William O’Connor, Foundation Professor and Head of Teaching and Research
in Physiology at the University of Limerick
“A splendid 4-day programme: Iain McGilchrist’s talks are deceptively demanding intellectually but these are counterbalanced by sessions which cleverly allow these new ideas and concepts to be assimilated more easily. When you couple this with the 4* star location, this makes for a truly memorable weekend.”
“The opportunity to listen to Iain McGilchrist’s life’s research and his own personal story was utterly useful and totally compelling. That, combined with the chance to exercise my creative side in a relaxed atmosphere, was a wonderful experience that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone interested in achieving some balance in their hectic modern lives.”
Chris Colcomb, Managing Director
“Samantha created a wonderful restorative space for learning from the wisdom of Iain McGilchrist. This was a highly significant milestone on my personal journey.”
About Iain McGilchrist
He is committed to the idea that the mind and brain can be understood only by seeing them in the broadest possible context, that of the whole of our physical and spiritual existence, and of the wider human culture in which they arise – the culture which helps to mould, and in turn is moulded by, our minds and brains.
In addition to presentations led by Iain McGilchrist there will be a number of practical sessions led by leading trainer Samantha Field. The aim is to bring to life some of the practical applications of the differences between the left and right hemispheres.
