Embracing Change and moving towards a more right-hemisphere way of being

Building on nine years of Samantha Field’s working relationship with world-renowned author, Iain McGilchrist, Samantha brings you the next stage in this journey. Taking a multi-discipline approach we will be exploring the necessary shift to a more right hemisphere way of being. We all have our own ideas around this and the form it might take. How though do we incorporate this into our own lives and truly embrace the paradigm shift that is so vital? Looking at our own, everyday, personal lives and experiences; we will be asking: what does a more right-hemisphere approach look, sound and feel like? How can we be the change we want to see in the world? On a larger, more societal, international and global scale, the questions posed will be around how we, as a species, need to change our way of being, what critical shifts and structural changes can we make and how is that going to happen?
There are, of course, elements of theses changes that are under our control, others we can influence, and those we cannot. So how do we wrap our arms around what is within both our control and influence, and how do we action that to make our experience in this world more satisfying, connected and whole and create a place which is kinder, richer and more fulfilling.

Live at the hotel, we have an absolutely fantastic line up of international speakers exploring issues around the divided brain. Most importantly, running parallel to this you will have a rolling choice of a whole range of right-hemisphere experiences to balance, refresh you and give space for another way of assimilating and knowing. Iain McGilchrist, our keynote speaker, will open this event via live streaming with a talk and Q&A. Although Iain will not be there in person the spirit of his hemisphere hypothesis runs through everything. For those less familiar with Iain McGilchrist’s work, this is backed with the premiere film screening of the best of his lectures gathered from previous years followed by optional discussion groups.
So come and connect with a group of friendly, like-minded and engaging individuals from a rich diversity of backgrounds – all keen to share their understanding of Iain’s work and how it’s making a difference in their lives. Get to know our speakers on a personal basis and explore how you’ll take your learning forward to make yours, and others, lives more balanced, satisfying and creative.
